Black Beacon Books
Black Beacon Books is an independent publishing house run by Cameron Trost and a team of illustrators and designers who include Greg Chapman and David Schembri.
All are members of the Australian Horror Writers’ Association and active creators of fiction or art.
The aims of Black Beacon Books are:
· To bring intriguing and edgy tales of dark fiction to the reading public, particularly works of mystery and suspense, psychological horror, strange fiction / bizarro, urban adventure, social and political satire, dystopian fiction. We want fiction that both entertains and provokes thought
· To specialise in ebook novellas and both print and ebook short story collections / themed anthologies – this does not mean that we won’t be looking for novels later, but the shorter forms are our priority
· To empower authors and encourage them to be actively involved in the publishing and marketing process
Black Beacon Books will be launching its range of novellas in 2013 with “809 Jacob Street” by the highly-respected horror writer and founding president of the AHWA, Marty Young. This will be a special print and ebook release.
